Yes. Weird computerised system with endless menus and voice recognition.

Can you post a bit more info on this? My brother has received his label, but
hasn't received a followup email. I'm still waiting for my label.

No, and since my lock was given into the possession of UPS at 0900 hrs
this morning, it won't help much if I do.

The address label said ship to some chap in Walsall. Is that the wrong
one? It's not that old Walsall / Warsaw mix-up again, is it?

Have you ? I haven't. What is the wrong address then ? I have Wallsall
TW1 4BQH which doesn't look like the correct postcode

TW postcodes are Twickenham. Unless they've enlarged it since I cycled
from it this morning it doesn't encompass Walsall.

My UPS label has ship to Nick Watkin, at IR Security & Safety
Ltd/Kryptonite, Walsall, Bescot Crescent, West Midlands, TW14BQH.

That looks a bit odd 'cos it appears to regard Walsall as being a
subdivision of Bescot Crescent, which is in the West Midlands with a
Twickenham (?) postcode-ish sort of code

OIf course, it's possible teh address doesn't mean anything at all,
because teh label also has two different barcodes plus a 2D encoding
and those might mean anything to the systems that actually route the
package.

Anyway, today I got an email:

Dear Kryptonite Customer:

Thank you for registering for the Kryptonite Lock Exchange Program.
You recently received a UPS label via email for your lock return.
Please disregard this first label. Because of a computer glitch, the
address is incorrect.

You will receive a new UPS call tag via email in the next 24-48 hours.
If you have not returned your lock today, this is the label you should
use to return your lock for the program.

If you did return your lock today, please be assured that your lock
will be received at an Ingersoll-Rand warehouse and be forwarded to
the appropriate location. You will still get your new lock.

We'd like to clarify a few things regarding the return process:
1. The lock exchange program is for tubular keyed locks only. Flat
keyed locks are not included.
2. You will be getting a new label within 24-48 hours.
3. If you have a U-lock to return, please return the whole lock with
at least one key.
4. If you have a chain product, please return the disc lock with at
least one key. Do not return the chain.
5. If you have a U-lock with flex cable, please keep the flex cable.

We appreciate your patience during this challenging time.

I believe that Kryptonite did mess up the labels, (some issue with the
postcode) however, they have assured people that even if they have used
the label with the dodgy address it should still go through.

It seems they're still cocking it up, partly. TW14 8BH would be the right
postcode for the rest of the address....

I was wondering if I'd been left out, but mine just arrived. First (and
only) label is Bedfont, as above.

Fortunately UPS come to the department on a regular basis so it should
hopefully be possible to send it on with a minimum of pain... The whole
thing isn't actually a Total PITA as my older one is passed 15 years now
and the lock mech was beginning to stick a bit anyway!
