  1. I thought they were cut slice by slice by an old Jewish guy with
    diamond cutter's tools.

  2. When I first started cooking from Jennie Grossinger's cookbook, I think
    it's "The Art Of Jewish Cooking," one thing I noticed was that all the
    recipes were too salty. I started using 2/3 of the amount she
    recommended, and that worked well. Then when I started using Kosher
    salt, the recipes tasted "right" at a 1:1 ratio.

    I gotta start cruising the Mexican restaurants in my neighborhood for
    dishes they serve onl during Lent.
