I'll be able to ride the course OK & not shed any blood. It's just the
shame of walking hills that kinda gets to me.

Well, I'll be walking hills AND shedding blood if
it makes you feel better! :-)

I've just put the call out on www.farkin.net and I'll
    wait patiently for bites...

I'd REALLY like a duallie for this one.. but I've been
talking about buying one for ages and I've got a roadie
    on order.. arrrrgh.. bike addiction!!!

Well, I will be riding my duallie for this one 😄 , but I have no doubt that I'll still be walking hills (up & down!) and bleeding profusely. Confidence and courage are two things I lack significantly!

'The New Justice Team' are all enrolled and as ready to go as the three of us will ever be (which means we've done squat in terms of training and prep and will likely do no more! - although I do need new cables... anyone know where you can buy those Avid Full Metal Jacket cables in Aust??)... Now just acquiring support team members to pat our heads, make us coffee and tell us how manly we all are... 🙄

What sort of bike? If we make it there I can keep
an eye out for you and we can swap energy bars :-)
    As a dodgie roadie.. I make a worse mtb'er! :-)
But it's all about the fun innit so I figure who cares
about lap times.. (that's what I tell people anyway ;-) )

That's what the other guy is for.. 1 riding, 1 resting
    and 1 slave.

I'll be on an orange/silver Marin Rift Zone (http://www.mtbr.com/reviews/Bike_full/Marin_1999_Rift_Zone.jpg) so feel free to give me an excuse to stop for a break & chat mid-trail! We're not too competitive about this whole thing, but just personally wanting to do what i can, and preparing myself for having to do more than my fair share of laps given the computer-programmer physiques of my team mates!

The real competition will take place back at camp to see who can bring the comfiest bed and best food!

"A mountain bike designed for going up, down
and around mountains really...." ? :-)

No probs.. I'll be the one brushing the dust off
myself, cursing my lack of previous mtb'ing.. :-)

So I can blame my "computer-programmer physique" for
my lack of pace. Done! :-)

Ah, crapola, I'll have to find a tent..
How long do pizza's keep when left outside? :-)

None of my bikes are race only. Even my
best bike has gone shopping with me :-)
Cafe Racer? Not unless someone else is
    buying me a coffee :-)

Very nice. If ya like, I'll send you a pair of downtube shifter bosses :P

    Regards,

Suzy (who had forgotten just how nice downtube shifters were)
