Knee and scoping...PLEASE HELP ME!

Shoes sound like the problem. Next would be your back. When my spine
is out a certain way, both my knees can lock up.
Get good running shoes from a qualified running shop, and take their
advice on what type is right for you. The back sounds like your actual
problem because of them hurting on the bike too, so see a good
chiropractor if new shoes don't make a drastic change within a week or
so.

My scope was the result of running too hard. Had torn cart under the
caps. Before having the surgery my knees acked like mad. Just sitting
my knees ached. I thought I had stated the reason as why I had the
arthroscopy so my apologies.

They didn't say running was out of the question. Though after the
surgery my knees never felt well enough. I can't even shoot basket
ball without my knees hurting. Let alone bend down to the floor. Does
this explanation help?

I rode my wife's bike for about 1/4 mile yesterday and I can still feel
my right knee aching. Wish I could have new knees. I LOVED running.
It was my drug of choice. Life is so worthless without running. Just
never been the same.

Should I get a new scope done? At the time I was told that the doc
doing the procedure was #1 for the area. He did all the scope jobs for
the local college athletes. His name was praised by everyone. If his
work is any indication of his character then he was 100% Grade "A"
quake 🙁

Dead wrong. After reading your reply to the other poster, I am CERTAIN
it is your back. You see your back may never hurt, but can cause
problems anywhere in the body. Every nerve in your body runs through
your spine, a pinched nerve in your back can leave you with pain ONLY
in your big toe, but your back never aches.
I am now CERTAIN it is your back. For an easy cure go to a QUALIFIED
(the older he is, the better) chiropractor. You'll see I was right, or

What kind of rehab did you do after the procedure?
Have you continued it? resumed it?
Have you (re-)consulted your ortho &/or p.t. on the subject?
The surgeon can just do so much -- the rest, even perhaps *most* of the job,
is up to you.

And yes, your back *can* be blamed for other things hurting. Even while
you're sitting. I had a "my leg & knee hurt" problem that was fixed with a
few simple back & ab exercises.

You don't say if both knees were done at the same time. If not, what was the
interval between them? Was there any difference after each knee surgery or
were they both the same?

They were both done at the same time. It hurt like crazy for awhile.
I'm happy in that it did eleviate the constant pain I was in. Though
it did not make me whole. Not that I expected to have the knees of an
eighteen old.

You haven't responded to my query about -- what other/followup therapy did
you have in addition to the surgery? Did you have any? Was any suggested
that you did or didn't follow up on?
