Klein Adept and squeak...

Grease your seatpost - both where it enters the frame, and also between the
clamp and the saddle rails.

While you're at it, grease the interfaces between stem and steerer and stem and
bar.

Sounds stupid, but you'd be surpsied how many mystery squeaks come from these
parts.

Mine squeaks too. I got used to it. I assume that it's some pivot point.
I replaced some of the bearings last fall just because.

Didn't squeak before that ;-). Let me know what you find.

And It lets the Grizzly bears know I'm coming. I haven't seen any lately.

btw, What's your suspension, I'm Fox Float R shock. Fork is Manitou
Black Elite 80-100

btw, btw, I'm painted the team Lombardi red, orange, yellow, white and am
thinking of a repaint next year.

Anybody send their bike back to Klein for a re-paint?

Most likly coming from the seat rails or seat post.

A short further test. Does the squeaking only happening when you're
sitting down? If so, check the seatpost and saddle rails. If not, pull
off the cranks and pull out the BB, clean everything and grease the BB. If
it's still creaking, work on the bushings.

My Proflex 856 was doing that on Sunday. Sunday night I
tightened everything along with greasing or lube seatpost,seatrails,
stem,shock,on and on. Today I took it for a short ride and a few hours
later I was home, it was quite as a mouse.
