I got "eclectic". What i found funny was that the "example" page had
pics of some of my fave kitchens from that kitchen design show on food
network.

stick with the basics. You're more concerned with having a timeless look
so it won't look dated in 10 years.

Country & Casual.... what other options are there?

I saw the Classic and Timeless photos. All of them show kitchens which
really appeal to me. Now, I wonder if I can go back and change all my
answers somehow, so that I'm no longer eclectic! Those "eclectic" kitchens
are absolutely not me. 🙂

I got Country&Casual the first time, and didn't like any of them much,
altho that butcher block is TDF.
I like the blue Eclectic one, mainly for the color (we did the kitchen
in "Wedgewinkle" from Home Despot), and kitchens 2 and 4 in the
sleek/contemporary catagory. Probably because both of those use their
counterspace, as do I.

Thanks for offering us the "key" to the designs.

I got Country& Casual the first time, and didn't like any of them much,

There are only two - both show stainless steel appliances and a
butcher block. Add the granite counter in the second picture and it
fits my wants to a T.

With a mild exception of the counter curve and undercounter appliances
in kitchen #1, I didn't like eclectic.

They were "nice to look at" but not something I'd ever pay money to

Good question. Well, first of all everything would
be low so I could do everything sitting down. And I'd
have a wheeled chair that I could scoot around the kitchen
on. On second thought maybe I'd just have a full-time
personal chef and dishwasher (human - not electric) whom
I would drive crazy by sitting in my "throne" and telling
them exactly how to do everything to my satisfaction.
Also, it would be air-conditioned.

As for the actual decor, it would be a large old-fashioned
kitchen with a fireplace and a nice old wooden table to
work on but with lots of counterspace and cabinets like
a modern kitchen but designed to look old fashioned. Lots
of browns with maybe some peach and or rust accents. No
light woods, all medium dark like pecan or walnut or some-
thing. Lots of wood, no chrome or stainless. Porcelain
sink. Very warm and cozy and comfortable. Except in the
summer then very cool and cozy and comfortable. Oh, and
with a hotline direct to all the various food manufacturers
and stores so I could call them up to complain about their
products on a moment's notice if necessary. ;-)
