Friggin' awesome! I loved that- as a mostly treadmill runner (on orders from the ortho doc- knee
probs/arthritis), I could picture myself one day trying something that incredible brave and stupid.
Right up my alley! Thanks for the story...Brian

That is truly amazing!! I too have started to run on a treadmill at my local Sports/Rehab Center. I
used to run on our streets with my wife, and had attained a 10 mile distance (once), but usually ran
anywhere from 4-6 miles on average. Now that I have started a weight training program, I run on the
treadmill. I think I like it better than the roads, mainly because there is no traffic, and I can
watch the news, or whatever happens to be on the tube at the time, helping to pass the time. I set
myself at a 10 minute/mile pace for most of the run, then for my last mile I bump it up to about an
8 1/2 minute mile. I doubt that I will set a goal of running any major distances though.I do have one question that perhaps someone here can answer. Since I am also involved in weight
training, are there any negative aspects to running followed by intense leg training, i.e. quad
extensions and leg curls with heavy weight? I know by running 4-6 miles a day, I am toning my leg
muscles instead of building them up, but I was just wondering if I maybe should just use light
weight for my leg excercises.[email hidden] (Globaldisc) wrote in message news:<20040126124226.24702.00000828@mb-

WHO WAS IT, THREATENED THE PRESIDENT?
WHO ADVOCATED AID TO TERRORISTS?
YEP, our own BILL DAVIDSON, just one day after the 9-11 attack, while the victims were
still burning.
