Kilimanjaro Pics

Great pictures - bought back memories as I did Kili in '96.

My own photographty was not as succesful as yours as the temperature on the
summit
affected the battery in the camera and I managed only one picture before
the camera packed up!

Thanks, I have just flirted with digital photography and not yet
mastered the art of enhancing the results so there are clearly some
issues with colour, contrast etc that I am sure others could improve
on. The pics are really just for my own enjoyment and sadly most of my
winter ones are on film so I cannot share them here. Maybe this coming
winter I will get some on the site

yeah, the pic of Mawenzi came out well and resides as my wallpaper on
the laptop, well pleased with the result ! all seems quiet with the
stone so far so I hope I may have passed it ok. Going for an x-ray
tomorrow to check ! Hoping to get out this Saturday to kind of make
up for the "lost"weekend

Paula's nose was seemingly more dramatic than it felt. She liberally
applied "witch doctor" gel and natural Aloe Vera straight from the
plant in the hotel gardens and the blackened dead skin fell away in a
few days without any permanent damage. Her doctor advised not to
expose to strong sun for about 12 months to prevent further damage so
she is coming to Scotland this summer for her holiday instead of her
usual hot spot !

They tell me this can be a painful experience and I think you would have
known if you had passed the stone. Have you had it bombarded with
ultrasound?
