Stupid idea when the first generation tightass came up with it, made
even stupider by "obedience to family tradition." I actually tried to
come up with a polite way to say this, but (obviously) failed. Stupid,
    stupid, stupid. -aem

aem, I don't expect you to understand but I am saying how I dealt with
the situation. Calling me stupid or the tradition stupid is not going
to change anything. I'm sorry you lack the tolerance to see that just
perhaps there are other ideals out there.

BTW my turkey stock is coming along nicely. I should be able to jar it
up shortly. I'm kind of getting tired of turkey since we had it last
weekend and this plus most of the week. A nice piece of turkey breast
is in the freezer. It will later be sliced up for sandwiches. The
little meat the kids left will likely get tossed in the freezer too.
I'm thinking fish might be good for dinner!

I didn't call you stupid, I called the original idea stupid. Turning a
stupid idea into a tradition is also, well, even stupider. Yes, I lack
tolerance for stupid ideas. What is the "ideal" you think this
tradition upholds? Loyalty to a selfish ancestor? -aem

I'll take loyalty to a selfish ancestor, sorry. They had their reasons
and it isn't up to me to question them. After the last bit of nastiness
here & would apper it is still going on behind my back I won't argue
this further other than to say it meets the needs of our family and
really that's all that counts. Stupid or not <shrug> What matters more
to me is whenever kibby is made here it is always good times 🙂

Okay. We all act irrationally from time to time, for reasons that seem
acceptable at the time. It does help to recognize it for what it is,
as that may eventually lead to improvement. -aem
