Yeah but have you counted in the cost of the spokes and wheelbuilding? In NZ spokes cost $1 each (cheap ones) to $2 each (high quality ones) and wheelbuilding $50 - 80. Dunno if its the same in Oz, but that's ~$100 to build yr wheel up. Also there are other things which individually don't cost much but add up such as rim tape, inner tube and tyre, seat post... In my experience its seldom cheaper to build up a unicycle from parts than buying a complete unicycle.

No it wont fit tyler. A yuni frame is for 40mm OD bearings and the KH hub bearings are 42mm OD. You cant shim bearings down.You would have to get a new frame or get a different hub and crankset.
Are you sure it won't fit, I thought that the KH bearings had the same OD as the Koxx bearings? Am I wrong? I have Koxx bearings in my Yuni frame and they fit fine.

Is that the cheapest price in all of NZ?!?!?! if it is I pitty you. Thats crazy expensive, I can get custom cut DT spokes and a wheelbuild for 40 bucks Canadian.

And please don't tell me this doesn't work or it's not ok, I am a mechanical engineer and happen to know something about bearings. You should try it before getting a new frame. U can't loose, if it works you saved some money. If not, buy a new frame.

You have the nimbus II frame?
I am gonna have to try and fit a 42mm into my Nimbus II frame and hope it works, cause if it does. I am going to buy a the 07 KH hubs.

I agree, except the frame isn't CrMo, it's steel. I think the pressed steel construction of the bearing housings allows them to deform slightly to fit the bearings better than for instance a machined aluminium housing would.

I did the same thing with my Yuni frame and 2006 KH hub and cranks and it works fine. The bearings sit in the holders perfectly. You definately don't need a new frame.
