  1. Heads up fellow bike racing Interweb nerds!!! πŸ˜‰

HCC crits start tonight at the same bat time, at the same bat place (just
watch the bats after sunset tho!).. Word on the street is that entry is now
$10, so pack an extra $5er just in case....

Keep an eye on BOM though, it may be a washout (fingers crossed, I cbf
    racing tonight)..

Catch you all behind me.. :P

hmmm, some very nasty specs of colour forming. Could be an interesting
ride. I'd guess Kew would be called off at the start of any rain. I'd
hate to be coming around the hairpin in the wet.

It's all out in the west. It's all good. But I can say that, 'cause
    I'll be spectatorating.

Of course one does. The other 99 out of a hundred get bitter.

RR: B grade, bloody hot, pace was on, most of the surges hurt, and near the
end I started laying down the law up the hill πŸ™‚

Spent some time on the back today for once.. and I can conclude that up the
back sucks... so 1/2 way I moved up and kept around 5th wheel.. lots more
interval/sprint training required so I can feel more on top of things..

An A grader hit the deck on the back straight - we kept clear for a few
laps, then on the 3 laps to.. we roll around and there was lots of yelling
from the back of the bunch.. nfi what it was about, I sat up... then kept
going.. then we found out why.. there was an ambo on the course for the
fallen rider. Race was abandoned just as I was finding my legs!.. fair
enough though, B grade would have been a mad 2 lap bunch sprint with an ambo
    on the course...

Rider down was Phil Indovino, word has it he was off the front of A grade
and met a very large tiger snake which somehow ended up with him on the
ground.. poor bugger.. any kind of breakaway today would have been ball
busting, then to come up against a freakin snake... argh.. I'm sure he'll be
back to slay some more snakes (and A graders) next week.

Effort of the day goes to Ess.. just to make life hard for himself he hung
about 20m off the back of C for most of the race... then caught them, then
went off the front on the final lap!!.. I'll let him tell the full story,
but helmets off to Ess!... Dutch also did some great slaying on the final
    climb in D grade..

    cheers,
    GPL
