as 12 hours. But in general, yeah, 2 days is do-able for most people.
It depends on activity, diet, and liver capacity.

On Atkins, Induction is 14 days because it is a conservative
overshoot designed to catch far over 99% of people. I've
never heard of anyone finally hitting ketosis in 13-14 days
but apparently Dr A enountered someone like that.
It's the same idea as the initial 20 gram level. It's far
under the ideal loss level for most, but it isn't there
as an ideal it's there as a way to get induce ketosis as
quickly as safely possible.
There are maybe 1% whose CCLL is as low as 20-25. The 14
days is to make very certain that folks with a CCLL of 15
didn't get into ketosis and won't get into ketosis at 20.
Induction is also 14 days for the other half of Atkins.
It can take a couple of weeks for food intolerance effects
to wear off and symptoms that you used to think were your
normal to go away.
Because I like the Firfox browser better that IE, but I like the OE News
better thatn the Firefox. I use the Thunderbird for email. Personal
Preference.

OK thanks. I restarted low carb Monday , after probably a year of not doing
it. I checked the strip and it was positive yesterday.

I do exactly the same thng. I use Firefox bowser and OE Express for news
(although I use Incredimail for e-mail).
You should download the free "OE-Quotefix." It's an add-on for Outlook
Express and gives lazy posters like you the option of having their posts and
signatures automatically go to the bottom when replying to anothee post.
<g> It also adds some other cool features to OE; for instance, in long
posts with multiple replies it can sort the different posters' replies by
color or symbol and makes it easier to follow the thread. SOmebody here
suggested it a couple of years ago, and nowI don't know what I did without
it! It's freeware; this is one site of manmy where you can download it:

I also prefer Firefox to IE. I use Eudora (lite) for most of my email,
Thunderbird for various less-important email accounts, and Gravity for
reading news. Each has their charms for various tasks.
