  1. Anyone with even a slender knowledge of Senator John Kerry¹s distant and
recent past should realize that the Massachusetts liberal is unqualified to
be president of the United States. Kerry has consistently failed to
comprehend both the dangers posed to America by its enemies and the
responses necessary to meet those threats.

On April 22, 1971, John Kerry, Vietnam veteran, appeared before the Senate
Foreign Relations Committee to discuss the war. His statements are relevant
today because they demonstrate his long-standing inability to understand
    national security issues.

Kerry said that in Vietnam, U.S. soldiers ³are given the chance to die for
the biggest nothing in history² and ³there is nothing in South Vietnam,
nothing which could happen that realistically threatens the United States of
    America.²

The United States sent troops to Southeast Asia to oppose communist
aggression. Vietnam was a hot spot in the Cold War and that struggle was not
    about ³nothing.²

President Harry Truman, a Democrat who understood the conflict, said, ³It
must be the policy of the United States to support free people who are
resisting attempted subjugation by armed minorities or by outside
    pressures.²

Revealing that he had no intention of embracing Truman¹s steadfastness,
Kerry made reference to ³the mystical war against communism.² Communist
expansion threatened the United States but Kerry did not believe it was
    worth opposing. WHAT?????????????

  2. This does not belong in the racing forum. Please take political threads
someplace else. I hate to see this forum go the way of others and become
a place for political discussions. Good grief! The tour starts in a
    matter of days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, Steve, you *did* put up eight (8) OT threads in 1 hour, 14 minutes
last night/this morning. That's threads, mind you. Not posts.

Can we count on that promise? And please indicate if that will be for the
calendar year 2004 or some other fiscal year.
