  1. Keith, have you seen this:

    http://www6.mailordercentral.com/ironmind/prodinfo.asp?number=1203

While I'm not going to switch to Oly lifting anytime soon, I'd like to
get a little better at it - I [censored] the bar overhead to work on
overhead squats and it gets pretty lame once I hit about 100 lbs.

If you've got any recommendations for something else, please let me
    know.

THANK GOD! I thought it was Friedes in his tiny ballerina costume,
doing piroettes with no pantys on again.

I have his book, but not the video.

My favourite book is Weightlifting - Olympic Style by Tommy Kono.

    Also Dreschler's Weightlifting Encyclopedia

I've found video helpful for things are foreign to me. I tried to find
a local coach but the only guy I could find was too far away and at a
    bad time.

I think I'm going to get this book/video combo and see how it works out
for me, and I'll put the other two books you mention on my "buy next"
    list.

    Many thanks.

You could try to get them through inter-library loan before buying. I
got the Drechsler book that way.
