I followed your link and I have no idea what you are trying to say, but in response to the comment about GB not caring about black people, I don't think it has anything to do with race. Fact is they were told to leave they didn't and now it is a totally messed up situation with armed gangs holding back relief efforts while a bunch of idiots rob everything they can. Most of the people that are left in the city are criminals and those with nothing to contribute to society. Would it be ok if they were seen as people with low IQs instead of darker skin color?

  3. I quoted it from the top of the website (red text) I assume the story is still developing.

  4. Let's remember that this is the same kanye west who threw an on-air tantrum last year when he didn't win a music award. He seems to be a very ''me, me, me" type of person.

But, while I'm not the greatest Bush fan, I would like to know what the Mayor of New Orleans and the Louisiana Governor were doing during the five days before Katrina hit. They had the warning. What did they do to prepare? It seems very little. And what did they do after Katrina hit? They panicked, started blaming everyone else, and made declarations like: "The city is lost!" and "We have thousands and thousands dead!" That's what you really like to hear from your elected officials.

  5. Perhaps he (K. West) is the racist, not Bush. This has nothing to do with color - it has everything to do with poor planning and management.

  6. They put a very racial slant on it in this country. There is this idea of all the remaining people being poor and black and, therefore, socially excluded. The fact they appear as refugees in a rich country (their own country) has shocked the media over here.
However, there are poor white people too in different states. It just happens to be the case most people in New Orleans happen to be black and the area got hit by a devastating hurricane. As for the heavy hand approach to looters, well Waco was pretty bad to when Koresh's ranch got stormed. And those folks were white, black and Hispanic, no?

The media morons have always shown what 'sells papers.' The truth has always been secondary.
I remember being in a 'hostile fire zone' (used to be called WAR zone, but I guess that sounded...bad) and a cameraman from CNN kept trying to get my people to fire their weapons down a street. We didn't know what was down that street but, as the cameraman said, soldiers shooting was a better picture than soliders standing around. We didn't shoot, but the next time you see people shooting in a news report, ask yourself if they're shooting for a purpose or for a camera crew.

And how many reporters talked about a dead body in the SuperDome? Couldn't one of them help move the body?

But, back to celebrites, were we not all impressed that Oprah and Sean Penn were able to bring their own camera crews and publisist(?) so we could see how sad and outraged they were?

If the thousand + news and TV people would just shut up and help out they help out a lot of people.

wow, does ignorance, or is it complete stupidity. FEMA Authoritys, National Guard, and even our military has been said to of pulled guns on those coming down to help. for you to judge these people, even after all they have been through is just straight WRONG? put yourself in thier situation. (BIG HURRICANE HITS)(RELIEF EFFORTS ARE EXTREMELY SLOW) WITH THE MIX OF THOSE 2, ALONG WITH ALL THEY ARE GOING THROUGH RIGHT NOW. i WOULD SAY I WOULD PRETTY [censored] TOO.

I have a feeling that most people are ignoring the celebrities when they jump in with the cameras......As far as Kanye West goes..... I am not familiar with his music, matter of fact until I saw the TV footage I had no idea as to who he is, but is he someone socially special?

Could you please do a better job of explaining what you're trying to say here? FEMA people are pulling guns on who?...what? Maybe its just me, but your statement is confusing.

your right, i was in a hurry yesterday. i was trying to say with all these people have gone through, it would push anyone mentally to the edge. then add on the breakdown in the relief effort. that is why i don't think we should be judging them. they are going through something many people never expierence in life.

I believe he is saying he would not allow himself to be in that situation.
He may correct me if I am wrong.

You are right that you can't judge the people who went through Katrina, but back to the subject of this posting, Kanye West didn't go through it. He just opened his mouth (again) before thinking.
If you ever look at this kids face you can see that there's not alot going on in there. I don't think he's the brightest bulb in the bin, but remember its not what you know, its how influential your family and friends are.
