Due to pressures of work (both mine and DH's) I have missed
two meetings in a row, and therefore 2 WI's... This is OK: I
have stayed OP and the rusty heap that is my home scale has
shown a nice decline...
These same work pressures mean that DH, who usually does the
weekly grocery shopping while I'm at my meeting, could not
do the shopping. I had to do it yesterday, with small son in
tow! He wanted to spend some saved pocket money, and I had a
cheque to pay into the bank, so wee had to go into town, not
just to the supermarket...
In town there was a French Market! AARRGGHH!! All these
yummy smelling stalls full bread, and olives, and sausages
andherbs,andmore bread,and differntsausagesnadnadnand... Oh
joy! JUST what I didn't need! A kind of land mine field of
food to negotiate! We bought sausages for DH, bread and
olives for us all, herbs (well, no harm in a large bag of
Provençal herb mix: I use that all the time and had run out
earlier in the week!), pate, and cheese (secreted away for
guests at the start of May!).
Trouble is that I cannot resist good bread... I went well
over points on this amazing Provençal bread with olives and
anchovies in it!
Oh, well - zero point Singapore soup for lunch today! And
Sunday Dinner is roast lean pork, dry roast spuds and fresh
veg: no dangers there!
