  1. Okay, so from what I gather, the main problem is sugar, so as long as
you order iced tea or Diet Coke, you can eat whatever the hell you want
and it's okay. Rock and Roll McDonalds!

Sorry, but you are wrong. According to the movie, the fries are won of
the only menu items that does not contain any sugar.

    **Won** of???

Jeeze, I'm famous for not using the correct bare/bear as in "bear
with me",,, but this is taking (mis)using homonyms to a new low.

'strue. They're sliced, parboiled, sprayed with a thin coating of
sugar water and then lightly fried to bond it to the potato and start
    the browning process.

There is NO sugar in the fries. Did you people watch the same movie as
    me?

Very true. Stuff is fried in patially hydrogenated vegetable oil.
It'd be much healthier if they used natural lard.

Goddamn, you ever see those fat soccer moms waddling across the parking lot
with their brats? No wonder their husbands are banging the hot 19 year
    latina receptionist at work.

Ehem, no it isn't. It is the people that choose to gorge themselves
that make them look that way.

Sorry, but you are mistaken. From McD's:
    French Fries:
Potatoes, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, natural flavor (beef source),
dextrose, sodium acid pyrophosphate (to preserve natural color). Cooked in
partially hydrogenated vegetable oils (may contain partially hydrogenated
soybean oil and/or partially hydrogenated corn oil and/or partially
hydrogenated canola oil and/or cottonseed oil and/or sunflower oil and/or
    corn oil).

    No sugar, no parboiling.

Dextrose is sugar, better known as glucose. You should not speak of things

Found in great amounts in California White potatoes (as advertisedly
used by MD's), especially when cooked.

(well, that what happens when you x-post to food NG's for
    showoff value)

Moreover, McD's admits to adding sugar when those great Whites are
seasonably shy of it. (They undoubtedly claim merely to be restoring
    what Nature intended...)

Yeah, you better stop eating ham sandwiches. That has tons of sugar.

French fries must be precooked or they won't brown properly. Try this
at home. Slice up a bowl of fries and split into two batches. Brown
one batch in oil, parboil the other until half done. Drain well and
fry in the oil. The first batch will be soggy and greasy. The boiled
batch will brown more evenly, be crispier and less greasy and will
    cook much faster.

heh, but that's not what he wrote.

He wrote that dextrose is sugar and is otherwise known as glucose.
The only difference I see is the D-. That said, his original point
(and mine) is still correct. McD's french fries have sugar added.
