Lol no, I just jumped off them my first time today. 😄

I haven't even done that yet, it's a damn mental thing. (I also hate
    that I can't let myself do a backflip 🙂 )
I've been riding for three months, and am getting quite good at MUni.
But, I'd like to be able to hop much higher than I can. I know it's
just a practice thing, but I think that it'd be nice if the people that
voted threw in how long it took them to get to the point of being able
    to jump that high?

  3. Which way?

I can no-pre-hop sif jump onto a table from every side (yes, over the
bench too). I haven't seen any that are tall enough to require me to
    use a pre-hop.

I want to learn how to sif rolling-hop 180 onto a picnic table from
both the front and the side...that'd be fun!

Not doing prehops, that's weird... I still need to work on my static
hops, my static hop is like 60cm (23"😉 , and my prehopped hop is around
90cm (35"😉. Oh well. To answer the question, yeah, I can. I think a
more fair measure would be a pingpong table, seeing as those are all
    around 75cm.

Thats a very good idea. However, we dont have public cement pingpong
tables here in the US (from what ive seen in my 9 years experience
living in the country) like alot of european countries do. 🙁

    good suggestion though

  8. To those of you that pointed out that picnic tables come in different
    sizes:

I think, being a unicyclist, you see alot of picnic tables. After a
short while youve seen enough to get an idea of what the average height
of picnic tables are. And that average height i think is what the
    thread-starter was going for.

The thing is that argument can be used against people hopping on tables
just as much as for them.

Just because you paid for a miniscule amount of it doesn't give you the
right to destroy it. But again just hopping on it ussually doesn't
damage it unless you're jumping and bouncing on the same table wooden
table repeatedly over a long period of time.

  10. Rolling hop. I don't know about foreign picnic tables, but the ones here
in Finland probably are something like 75-80 cm high. It's a shame
there are no higher tables around, I prefer hopping them instead of
practicing my rolling hops on pallets which aren't very stable. 🙂

  11. I've got some taller picnic tables in my local park; I'm still working
up to that height. I can pedal grab 'em no prob, but to rubber, that's
    still a challenge.

I've been working on picnic benches instead, jumping onto the back rest
from the ground. These benches are slightly lower than the table tops,
but they're also much narrower, so they're a challenge of a different
    nature.

The line I'd like to land one day is in an older Ryan Atkins video I
believe, where he gaps to a bench back, rides along it, gaps to another
bench back (that's at 90 degrees to the previous bench), rides it then
drops off. I wish I could come up with a link 'cause that's a super
    sweet line!
