  2. I'm going to be in the 4th of July parade in Edmonds WA. My unicycle
club the Uniques do it every year...Its really fun, but a little long.
There are about 40 people in the club. Usually only about 20 come to the
    actual events.

Auburn Unicycle Club and riders from local schools. Uniforms are
required for the Atlanta parade; details below.

Want to ride with us? Send an email to [email hidden] with your
    name and shirt size:

    Youth: small, medium, large OR

    Adult: small, medium, large, extra-large

We’re ordering the T-shirts through our supplier and selling them at
    cost, roughly $10.00.

Support vehicle: We’re driving a support vehicle in both parades, and
we’re supplying bottles of water. Hot and humid weather are predicted,
    so drink plenty of water!

  5. I will be riding the Canonsburg, PA parade on July 3. It's a pretty big
parade. I believe I will be the only rider. I think I'm going to paid
$50 for riding in the parade. When I talked to the parade committee
member, he asked what I charge. I said, "Nothing, but what do you pay?"
He told me he would try to get $50 for me, but the budget was tight. I
don't know why he offered $50 if the budget was tight, but I'll take
    it!

I may be riding in the parade on July 5 in Zelenople, PA, my hometown.
Should know in a day or two.

Unfortunately my daughter is showing no interest in riding with me in
the parade. She needs other kids to ride with. Gotta work on that
    one.

  8. I have been contracted (ie. I have convinced them to pay us) to put an
11 unicycle team in the Canada Day Parade in Ottawa (Canada's Capital)
on Canada Day which is on 1 July 04. I will be riding (and juggling)
with both of my sons in the parade along with 8 others including two
girls. Our ages range from about 12 to over 50!

  9. I'm riding in a parade on July 3rd. I know some of you are going to
hate hearing this, but I'm wearing my clown costume for the event. I'm
going to ride the parade on my MUni (I don't have another unicycle at
the moment) and then afterwards I will make balloon animals for an hour.
    That's it.

  10. If I get my newly won EBay giraffe in time I'm going to ride that in the
10-or-so block Slater, Iowa Independance Day Parade. Otherwise I'll
ride my 29er. To my knowledge I'll be the first unicycler in the parade
ever. (Okay, it's a pretty small town.)

I knew a Bill Davey in school. I went to Seneca Valley and graduated in
1974. I'm going to guess that I went to school with your Dad. By the
way, my name is Bill Hamilton.

I heard from some other Zelie folks that Bill D would often ride in the
parades at Zelie. PM me and we can try to hook up for the Canonsburg
parade. It would be fun to ride together.

I am also looking for info on the parade in Zelie. Who would I contact
to get permission to ride in Zelie?

Last time we went in 2000 the president couldn’t make it , but he did
call our instructor to like recognize us or something.

But this time we aren’t aloud to swim in the pool at the fancy hotel.

Interesting! No one from England or California riding in a July 4th
parade. I guess foreigners don't celebrate the Independence of the
    States.😄

  16. Hey chrokid! Thanks for this post.

It's getting me hooked up with a couple of riders (billdavey23) from my
hometown, just an hour away from where I live. Since my parents,
brother and sister live there, I get up there fairly often. Could
    provide an occasional ride partner.

Hope you and the girls enjoy your parade.

To the Gym Dandies... Youv'e got a big group! It would be fun to see
you in a parade. Lots of giraffes too!

bugman - You just gotta wonder why those Brits aren't celebrating the
4th of July. :p My company is owned by a British group, one time I
almost asked a British colleague if he would be off for the 4th. Duh!
Later I told him what I was thinking and he said he would be willing to
    have a day off work!
