Awesome as usual. I have to get my Wilson's Mesa pix up from a
couple of weeks ago. 27 miles, 5000'+ elevation gain, 5 hours and
worth every part I had to hike.......

Post 'em up, G. That's a fantastic trail and I hope to get down there
in the next few weeks. BTW, coming out for any Fall riding?

    JD

See the Post titled Wilson Mesa.

Hope to be back up sometime in October, just haven't picked a date yet. The
kids were supposed to have a week off and of course that's been changed so
    they only have three days.

I may be up sooner if the weather turns cold as I have to winterize the
trailer. Busted pipes are such a pain.

    The Rocky Mountains.

    Okay, where, what trail?

Like Penny said, I don't post that kind of info, especially with
pristine routes likie those. The last thing those trails need is a
bunch of e-diot skidiots ruining them.

Dave, Dave, Dave... Not wanting to share your favourite trail with the whole
world is not "elitist", it's common sense.

    And it's "how" ;-)

While I agree in principle, those trails are too tough to get to, can't
be shuttled to any advantage, and require too much conditioning to ride
by the types you wish to keep off them.

I dunno Craig. I wrote a RR a few years ago called "the squirrel" and
though the subject of the title was definitely strong enough to ride
those trails, he was still a supreme skidiot. Then there are those
who "just have to" because of a cool pic and ride/walk in way over
    their heads.

OTOH, I benefit as much as any by keeping those trails pristine and
    uncrowded ... thanks!

Every mountain biker does. Let the cheese eaters ride the
    "sacrificial lamb" trails.

BTW Jerry, up until my recent injury, the El Saltamontes has been a
GREAT ride and I expect to put may more hard miles on it. It is perfect
for the type of riding I do down here, trail riding with no emphasis on
racing type speeds, I am enjoying the bike.
As well, Cindy's Racer X has also been a delight for her. She is riding
more difficult stuff than she had on her hardtail, and is still getting
used to riding a full susp. These are two of the bikes you recommended
to me and they have been perfect, even if a little pricey. BUT I don't
expect we'll need to replace either frame for many, many years!

I'm glad everything is working out well with those choices. They are
both great bikes. I'm going to ride my Titus today on a big combo XC
route up high. Heal up and get back on the bike, the colors are
    starting.

Drop me a line when you have a plan. Maybe it'll coincide with Craig

I knew I could count on you, professor Steve. Many Thanks 🙂

What do you reckon the ratio of posters here vs. the number of those
posters that may go out of their way to try and find this trail are? Feel
free to include yourself (and me for that matter) in the equation....

While the whole world may be reading (doubtfull) I'd be willing to bet "the
whole world" (not even every poster on AM-B) would show up and trash this
    trail...

    Dave (think about it...)

Did you ever think that if you emailed him and politely asked about the
trail, he might tell you? You probably screwed your chances now.

History says a lot more. The frightpig dragged my kid into one of his
THC-fueled e-tantrums. He'd be more likely to beat Fagerlin in his
Porsche while trying to drive his mulletmobile gagmaro.

I question the THC part (maybe it in the post(s), I didn't read them that
    closely).

I'm thinking a little might mellow him out a bit.

let it go dude, or perhaps seek proffesional help...either way, you're
still an elitist, and detrimental to the sport. IMNSHO!

Regardless of whatever might have led up to it, if you dragged my kid into
something like that I'd have a hard time accepting your aplogy too.

Matt (some things can't be undone)

Go back and google it, I didn't bring his kid up, I just followed someone
who did, which in itself was wrong, and that's what I apologized for...

I guess that's why some of us don't care. I mean he is just a faceless e-
tard to me (to coin an oft used phrase)

Kids or not...act like a [censored], get called a [censored]. Say some of the things he
said to me and all gloves are off. Some trolls absolutely require a
response...right or wrong. I would say it was wrong though. I should've
attacked him on a personal level, like he did me, and left it at that.
Anyhow I apologized. He was not gracious enough to accept. No sweat off my
    balls.

Dave (but then why justify, you barely remember anyway....must not have
    been that important)
