Generally I've found emailing the postmaster of colleges gets a reply.
Also, this college is part of Glasgow's uni - so you could prob get hold of
someone at http://www.gla.ac.uk/ if you could be bothered!

What I can't understand is why the college lecturer (hah!) doesn't set

I would have thought that principal@any-college-you-like ought to be
successfully redirected. You'll probably have less luck with
shpxjvg.ghgbe@same-place however unless the mail system admin has a
particularly cruel streak.

I have two theories:
a) Some lecturer had a really bad time hereabouts at some point in the past
b) College *still* isn't expensive enough
