  1. Anyone here ride from NYC to Philly ?? or any experience riding through NJ ?

  2. I am a Jersey Rider...right in good ol' Parsippany... Let me know what you want to know about Jersey riding. I'll try to answer it.

  3. I was actually thinking of doing century since i saw that from Jersey City to Philly is about 95 or so miles. I just don't know what roads i should take.

  4. this might help you.

  5. jersey rider here too! I live in Ringwood, usually by myself.

  6. Whenever I have a destination to ride to in Jersey, I usually go MapQuest.com, and use the get directions section. But because I am on a bike, I check off the "Avoid Highways", "Tolls", Etc. So then it gives me local rodes and some busy roads. It works great for me everytime. So you should try it with your own ride. Hopefully it will work.

  7. mapquest would be great if mapquest only knew what roads are best to actually ride on. i'm really looking for great scenery and roads i won't have to fight for my life. i was raised in Jersey City so that's not exactly the friendliest cyclist city and i think you guys know that .. haha.

that njbikemap website has some good scenery thanks SCOTTinNJ.

  8. I rode thru parts of NJ last month during the Tour de Force ride from Ground Zero to the Pentagon. Pretty flat most of the way but some nice riding.

  9. riding in northern jersey is gorgeous...

so are you just asking who the hell lives here, or are you trying to set up a group ride?

I will be taking leave in a few so i was just curious on what roads are good to ride. i am thinking of riding from Jersey City, or somehwhere close, all the way down to Philadelphia. So if anyone know of a few choice roads from experience it would be much appreciated. Thanks guys !
