  1. Anybody know of a good source for short and/or jersey
repair? The couple that used to advertise in VeloNews passed
away and I haven't been able to find anyone else.

    Thanks, JN

That was Speedy Recovery of Maple Grove, MN.....
    Marsha Alper?

I wonder if your typical-good dry cleaner can mend it.

Hidden Bay Sports bought that business.

    Also, try Young Originals.

Yes, they died of Carbon Monixide poisioning. So if you
have gas heat, make sure you have a CO detector in every
room someone sleeps in. One probobly saved my life 3
    years ago....

My typical-good dry cleaner did a nice job altering my team
winter jacket. It hardly seems like rocket science.

  7. Dorothy started the business out of their house. Once it
became apparent that it was something they could make a
living at, it was also apparent that they could run it
anywhere and that they had more important things in their
lives to do than work. So they sold the house and moved to
    Cable, Wisconsin.

Cable is out in the woods, a long way from anything. It is
most well known for the being the site of the American
Birkebeiner ski race, the largest XC ski race in North
America. If skiing is your passion it is a very good place
to be. We placed a couple of orders with them for stuff.
Dorothy was the seamstress, Preston did the graphics and the
business end. Whenever I called about an order I would talk
to Dorothy and leave a message for Preston. He was never
there, he was always out skiing or something. I never felt
annoyed when this happened. Only jealous.

We run a time trial in July and one year they needed to make
a delivery so they showed up and raced. Dorothy was a very
casual cyclist but Preston was pretty fast. They showed up
the next year too, just because they liked the race.

I was sorry when they passed. To honor them I have tried to
remember that there are more important things in my life
    than work.

I don't think Penny S. hangs out here. Try alt.mountain.bike
for her. She's an apparently expert seamstress.

a fruitless hunt for a securely entrenched dictator and condemning
them to fight in what would be an unwinnable urban guerilla war, it

instability." George Bush Sr. in his 1998 book "A World Transformed"

I can't get my managers, if you want to call them that, to
agree with you. But I agree with you.
