Jens Voigt doesn't believe that Lance Armstrong will actually start the Tour
de France this year. "Basso can win the Tour. And especially because, I
still don't believe that Lance Armstrong will participate," he told the
Berliner Morgenpost. "Lance knows that his streak won't last forever. And he
sure doesn't want to finish in second place. If he does start, then he will
win the Tour again with five minutes advantage. But I just don't believe
it."

Yeah what people don't get about Lance is that he's basically a blue
collar redneck Texan who's determined to make it. These are the same
people who ride bulls for a living. That's my old man to a T. He'll
spend $50,000 to avoid giving the government $10,000 in taxes because
they aren't going to tell him what to do. Here in New England I grew up
with what's got to be the last of the real Yankee farmers. They didn't
get bothered, they just did what needed to be done and screw everybody
else because they weren't even in the equation.
Lance really is what America used to be, and what Europe hates about us
now.

people say very brave things. Most of the time, these brave people turn
out to be brave and wrong.
