I believe it was confirmed on cyclingnews.com today that Levi
Lepiheimer has signed to Disco for next year??

I suspect that with him as their main GC rider, there would be no place
for little Jannie. I wonder if Discovery Channel would have an issue
with signing him as well...??

This looks like he's convinced he won't be found guilty of doping.

However, it leaves Jan fans and people who dislike Discovery in a bit
of a quandry if he does sign up with Discovery. It would be ironic if
he wins his second Tour with Discovery.

Ouch. This will still be hard to take if he does sign with Discovery. A
shock to the system as big as Vader's revelation in Cloud City in The
Empire Strikes Back.

I guess Discovery could get him off the beer diet and put him on an
orange juice diet ...

Looks like the game of musical chairs has begun. Kloden has received
offers from 3 teams (Gerolsteiner and CSC?) and hasn't received an
extension from T-Mobile.

Basso could leave CSC as well if he is found innocent.

Well, he an LA seem to have respect for each other, so the Discovery
thing doesn't suprise me that much. However if Levi has been signed, do
that have the budget for Jan? Jan would have to be the leader, so I
suppose it depends on what Levi's been promised...

I think he'd do well at Discovery. He needs discipline, and I think he
knows it. He'd get that at Discovery, and really he hasn't got much time
left to win another TdF.

I'd rather see Jan at Discovery than Floyd. I like Floyd a lot, but I
think he'll show his loyalty to Phonak/Ishare and give them at least one
more year, assuming his hip replacement lets him. I'm sure he'd not want
to have Lance calling the shots again, even indirectly.

It's all speculation, but Leipheimer will never win the Tour, and
Bruniel knows that. He'd be in for support only, and to win lesser
races to get points. Kinda like Salvodelli and the Spanish armarda.
