After 6 months of waiting, I finally have my replacement frame for my poor departed ex road bike and for the last 4 months I have been riding my 7 year old Avanti Monza, the new bike and old bike are WORLDS apart, I love cycling don't get me wrong, every day I get to ride I feel very lucky no matter what I am riding but after having to go riding the old Monza for the last few months and now being back on the Guru again, I can honestly say I do not subscribe to this thought, "Its not about the bike" 🙂
I know what Lance means of course its about just getting out there and doing it, but I can honestly say, that I enjoy riding if its possible, double fold being on the new bike. Its like a whole new lease of life, I am having deja vu from when I got the original one coming from my Monza the enjoyment I had and the extra speed and stamina, confidence I gained from being on the new bike.
Does anybody else kind of know what I'm getting at ????
Just had me thinking about all this being back out on the new bike and thinking about the mighty Monza has served me so well in the past.
