The water feeding zone was unusual of course. I saw them mainly shower themselves or even toy around
with the water (Wellens of course).

My dad was insulted that, even in this weather, crossers would get bidons at will. He said when
he did amateur stage races in the summer (late 60's), it was often forbidden to get bidons during
the stages.

This sounds quite irresponsable, but (let's dream/guess) maybe it was a measure to deal with
the problem of dope/drugs cocktails that were often delivered during races, specificly to ride
the final.

So, what, like me and Bilodeau are next in line for being unfashionable? I'm not even straight-edge,
so I think it might just be him. And he quit racing, so there may no one left. Perhaps proof of
shark jumping.

They did a review of that book on NPR earlier in year. And typically I'm guilty of believing
everything I hear on NPR. They did, however (at least in Boston) cover Tyler's homecoming in
Marblehead, which was nice.
