The Vuelta is coming up, but does anyone give a [censored]? You'd think that
this race could be sold to the Hispanic audience in the States, at
least until they stop to think of the Colonial Imperialist regime that
was forced down their throat, and still continues to drive the civil
wars in South, and Central America.
I really don't give a [censored] about the Vuelta, because noone else seems
to either other than the Spaniards and Basque. So we're down to Worlds,
which only the Euros seem to care about and The "Fallen Leaves". Life
sucks when the real season is over.

Bill CI have always enjoyed the Vuelta, but you are right about who is really
racing. The Spanish and teams/riders who have had a bad season try to have
a strong race. I miss the few years that we had daily coverage on OLN but
follow it other ways.----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Uncensored-Secure Usenet News==----

Bill CSold to the "Hispanic audience"?
The people of Puerto Rico and Mexico identify with the Spanish less
than we identify with the British. You'd have a better chance of
selling a 'Tour of England' to some redneck in Alabama than you would
the Vuelta to Mexican..... at least based on some "your people" idea. Many of us do care bout the Vuelta so if we all list ourselves will
you then "give a [censored]"?On second thought, make up your own mind instead of coasting in my
slipstream. ;-) -

The thing that makes it interesting to me, year after year, is to
dust off my old dictionary from college and plod my way through it
in the native tonguehttp://www.todociclismo.com/vuelta/index.asp
"Johan Bruyneel has confirmed that Cookie Monster Beltran will participate
in the Vuelta a Espana after having recuperated satisfactorily from
the injuries caused by a crash with a motorcycle last July 31st. The
rider from Jaen will be one of the pillars of Discovery Channel
during the Spanish tour."-Gerardo-fish

I love the fact that a grown man is more often than not refered to as
Cookie Monster instead of his given name. -
There aren't many Spaniards in America...and by the way the season is
actually going to get interesting now. -

Unfortunately www.trikitrakes.com appears to be down
for good, but see

AFAIK, Triki trakes are (a brand name of) chocolate chip
cookies. -

monsters name on the spanish version of Sesame Street. -
I'd hate to be contractually obligated to ride that tour after having
spent three weeks in Le Tour hauling water (and Lance) up the Alps and
Pyrrenies. This is where the ProTour sucks. You either have to
torture a smaller team, or maintain a large enough roster to field a
squad of nobodies just to satisfy ProTour rules.I wonder if they even bother to send Johan to the Vuelta.

interested in Toyotas with coffee cans on the exhaust pipe. The Hispanic
audience not in the States is interested in becoming the Hispanic audience in
the States.Further ethnic cliches available upon further provocation.
