  1. Well, yes, my derailer does need replacing......but, that
isnt the problem with my chai skipping...

My smallest front, and 2 smallest back chain rings teeth
    look like "shark teeth".

My LBS does not carry chain rings.... but they do have cheep
    cassettes.

So, now comes the cost, $20 for the replacement of my
cassette, $30 for replacement of my small front chain ring,
    and also my derailer... $30

So, I have 2 options Replace the parts at $80, or
    Relplace bike...

I can get a new bike for about $250 ish.

    any suggestions?

    Micheal

Why not? It's the $150 bike-shaped-toys that are
    dangerous. ;-)

My $250 bike (OK, so it was $280-some) has held up
reasonably well for a few years now. Rigid forks and all.

  10. HYPOCRITICAL? christians hypocritical. evolutoin is the most scientifically UNFOUNDED childerens story ever told that darwin himself could not belive. There is absoultely no proof or footing for the theory and you call christians hypocritical? What was the question?

Huh? Obviously someone stuck in the dark ages who
doesn't know the meaning of hypocritical has managed to
    post to a.m-b.

Why do Christians pray for victory in war?

That one good enough for ya? I seem to remember the first
commandment being "Thou Shalt Not Kill". It didn't mention
    any extenuating circumstances like war...

Rev. Steve "you just can't kill for Jesus"

I personally don't know of any who have. I only know them to
pray that the war ends so lives are not lost. I hear them
pray for people on both sides.

I have never killed anyone so I've I got that one covered.
That's why the Amish and other religious groups will not
participate in war. There are people who refuse to kill
another human. Is that good enough for you?

Explain to me why "christians" cannot participate in a

hypocritcal by christian haters like yourself who
cannot come up with anything else that would truly
    warrant the claim.

Christ said "Treat others the way you would have them treat
you: this sums up the law and the prophets." Your
viciousness in these flameflests sure isn't very Christian.

I'm just talking about you above. The hypocrisy of 99% of
Christians is so easy to point out I'm not going to bother.
But if you really want me too...

    That is just me.

So, being that the primary commandment is "Thou shalt not

don't tell me they all joined up to wash uniforms....

That would a be question for them to answer since I was
never in the Army, and never in the military during war
time. If you want to know why, then go to the source since
I'm not qualified to answer for anyone but myself.

    Quoted message said:

If you are a true christian, then you should not even
    consider joining the army.

Again, ask those who are in the Army and claim to be a true
Christian. That doesn't concern me in any way, shape or
form. I served in the Navy.

Doesn't mean that there aren't many who do. Even for you,
that was weak ;-) It only takes two for the statement
"christians are hypocritical" to be absolutely true.

Not unlike "mountain bikers are liars".

Ok, you win. Good for you.

Greg, your 100% correct. I've let those who oppose me with
their insults and derogatory remarks get the best of me and
responded in kind. I was all prepared to get all insulting
with you, but I'm sitting here at my keyboard saying to
myself "Gregs right, I'm wrong". Too bad I had to go and
reply to JD before I read your post, just reinforces the
negative image you and others have of me.

No need. I'm sure my behavior here has done enough damage.

So just how many mountain bikes do you have? And why would
