In summary, it appears that Viagra can improve VO2 and blood oxygenation
in acute hypoxic conditions. Although it does nothing in normoxic
conditions, and lung capacity is not the limiting factor in sport, it
would therefore not benefit cyclists in the least. That wouldn't stop
racers from taking it 'just in case'. However, it may provide a marginal
benefit in highly polluted Beijing and this is the time of year to test
it under race conditions, to establish whether it can be well tolerated
with no negative side effects.

Also reports that they found a syringe hidden in a tube of toothpaste
