Personally, I wouldn't do a deal like this. Who is this guy?? What happens if the bike is pants?? It
may be fine, but it's a risk. Why is it so cheap?? You have no warranty, no bike shop to complain to
if something is wrong. And if something goes wrong, you have to ship the thing back. Who pays for
shipping?? What recourse do you have if you get screwed?? Tough call.

This is absolutely a scam. NEVER send money via moneygram or Western Union. Ask if the seller will
use and escrow service, and use one approed by eBay.

I obviously don't know for sure, but this reminded me strongly of the below linked article that I
saw in a local paper. In that story, the money was to be sent to Rome by Western Union. Of course,
your deal *might* be legit, but I wouldn't bet on it.

You can always tell from the e-mail headers where the person is. Even Hotmail has the IP number that
the person used to get to the Net.

Why not? If the local market and local conditions mean that a good, second hand bike doesn't sell
very well, it might be a good deal. [ theres a lot of people buying a US bike outside the US (!!) ]

so you can save the $450 shipping charge. Ask him for his address. Let's see what he says then.

It doesn't matter whether it's a scam or not. Don't do a deal like this. It's just a bad idea to buy
something like a bicycle from another country.
