I doubt that he was anywhere near a record. You should see what they
carry in India.

I do like the way he's fitted panniers for extra carrying capacity.

Maybe its an electric bike and that's where the batteries live. Electric
bikes are much more at home with load hauling. If this was the case then a
conventional sized lunch would be all that's needed and the bike could later
get its own recharge.

Guy on a bike, on quite a busy road, with a kitchen sink balanced on
the handlebars. On the road but too near the kerb. The driver that
caught him up at a pinch point resisted the temptation to squeeze past.

I think it is a public road, only on the other side of the pond.

Looks more like a campus to me - lots of landscaping, no road markings,
the sort of place that you'd expect to have an internal mail service.
