    thats a yes.

Funny how Evans puts in a great time, even though he has SUCKED all
    week in the _real_ races.

I think that guy just can't ride in a bunch, much like Daniel-sahn of
past years. Wonder who they will be working for, him or Horner (who
was just behind him in 17th). Management didnt sound pleased, it would
be cool if they worked for Horner since Cadel is the leader for the
    Tour.

Horner, that guy is frickin' smaht. I love reading his race
interviews, he always seems to know whats going to happen.

    Go fat Jan Go!

  7. I thought this rather interesting. Obviously Savoldelli is still
building whereas Valverde has just peaked. My estimation for Paulo just
went up a bit. Not that it wasn't high to begin mind you.

Nah, fraid not, look at his face, arms and quads...padded. Now look at
some pics from the tour last year....ripp-ed.

i see him dropping out, skipping the giro, blah blah, strong third week
and all that, podium but not winning.

Floyd is going to be burnt out too. Basso, unless he cracks. So far,
Floyd is showing the best mental fitness, practicing the art of
leading, and winning 3 outa 4. The team will ride inside out for him.

CSC will do too much, its like they can't help themselves. The team
will be in ruins by the third week, and Basso is too nice, wont have
    Lance to follow.

But, its early too for this thread. At least Floyd pulled out of the
    Giro.

I don't think he was trying that hard, especially considering that he's
just now starting his season and isn't competing for the GC. I'd be
curious to see how he rides on Sunday (assuming he doesn't withdraw
    before then).

Caught some of the live coverage (DSF went on air for his ride, then off
    again)
He practically came to a standstill on all of the tight corners (the road
was still damp when he was riding), so his time is pretty much meaningless.
The geneva course BTW is more of bike handling challenge than anyhing else,
it figures Savoldelli should do well there.

  13. Jan said today that he was not pushing himself to the limit. It's
probably a good thing considering that he is recovering from a knee
injury. In many respects it's a gutsy thing for Jan to start racing so
soon again. I do think that Jan appears to look in good shape.

Synchronized stomach and man-[censored] breathing. It's good for aerodynamics.

Jan looks like he has about 10 lbs too much and that is just about right for
arriving at the Tour in perfect condition. Over the years Jan's showed that
he knows a hell of a lot more about his condition than a bunch of never was
    stalkers on RBR.

Clarification please. If you mean 'never was' bicycle racer that is
now stalking, that's pretty accurate, but if you are implying that I
am a 'never was stalker', I have the police citations to prove
    otherwise.

BTW, I did learn not to combine walking your dog and stalking,
especially if the dog barks a lot. Like everything, its a learning
    experience.

dang, either he stores fat in his face (some people do) or he is pretty
    heavy compared to tour weight.

I dont understand how you can ride THAT many miles/hours a day and not
be skinny. Piero is the only other guy I can think of who carries alot
    of weight like that.

Maybe he just has a terrible metabolism. I cant imagine doing pro
    level hours and not withering.

one thing is obvious, jan has no neck and always has kind of a chubby
face- no matter how thin he gets he always has slightly chubby cheeks
and it gives the illusion of him being fatter than he is. The rest of
him looks pretty svelte for this time of year.

Are you sure he's doing pro level hours, and not just noodling around
for a couple of hours and claiming he's feeling "good sensations"?
