Well, if I were only about 50 years younger and good enough to be a threat
to win, it would be a bargain at that price. Just think for only $7K, you
might earn $20M.As it is, though, the bike is only a collector's item. The value of such
things over time is problematical at best. Owing the bike is just another
form of conspicous consumption.

If the bulk of the revenue went to LAF for research, then fine. Otherwise
it's a trek money grab. Hopefully Lance is at least donating his cut to

I have no doubt that trek has more than made it's money back on regular oclv
revenue. They've probably at least doubled their revenue since 99.--
