  1. Some people here choose ignorance, and as a result behave in an ignorant
    manner.
I came here to help people. I found something very powerful that seems to
    have
upset these people. It is ginseng. In order for you to get some I sell it.
    These people
who can't sell it appear to be jealous of me because I might make some money
    and
they can't. They seem to be jealous of you who might be helped by it so they
    attack
me in an attempt to chase you away. In a civilized society this would be
    considered
uncivilized behavior. It is completely ignorant.

So, let me hear from all who read here. Do you think these people are happy?
    Answer YES or NO.

Yes, and I'm sure we'd all appreciate it if you'd stop doing that.

You came here to try to make a buck, in violation of the newsgroup
charter. You continue to try to do so. You are a despicable spammer
who makes reckless recommendations and are incapable of reforming.

You do something very obnoxious -- spamming -- that upsets people.

If you were doing as well as you are claiming, you wouldn't have time
    to be online this much.

    Answer YES or NO.

Yep, I think they're happy. I also think you're scum. How many think
    Spammin' Dave is scum?

Dave, I'm glad you finally recognized your behavior for what it is.
Recognition and admission of your ignorance is the first step in
    correcting it. ;-)

    Quoted message said:

powerful that seems to have upset these people. It is ginseng.

No, believe it or not, it is not the ginseng that has annoyed people. It
is your making ridiculously overblown and inflated claims for the
benefits of your specific ginseng preparation that has annoyed people.
It is your routine making of claims that have no evidence to back them
    up that has upset people.

But you won't get it that it's about your behavior and not necessarily
    the ginseng, will you?

    Quoted message said:

Of course you do. None of us are surprised by that.

    Quoted message said:

appear to be jealous of me because I might make some money and they
    can't.

Oh, please. Spare me the self-pity. I could damned well sell ginseng if
I decided I wanted to, and so could any number of people who have posted
refutations of your assertions, if they had a mind to sell it. If I were
really unscrupulous (which, fortunately, I'm not), I could even use my
position as a physician to push the product far more convincingly than
you've been doing with your lame babble. (At the very least I could make
my pseudoscientific babble sound a hell of a lot more convincing than
    yours does.)

I choose not to sell or even prescribe ginseng because I have not been
convinced of its efficacy in treating diseases and conditions I commonly
deal with. Maybe that's being conservative. If I see good scientific
evidence that it is effective for treating diseases I commonly see, I
would certainly consider adding it to my armamentarium.

    Quoted message said:

They seem to be jealous of you who might be helped by it so

No, we are concerned that someone without the background knowledge to
recognize your claims as bogus might forego effective treatment in favor
    of yours.

    Quoted message said:

    In a civilized

No, what's really uncivilized (and also unethical) is making grandiose
claims for an herb that don't stand up to the light of scrutiny--as you
routinely do--in order to make money selling said herb.

    Quoted message said:

    immune system.

    behavior.
    It is completely ignorant.

So, let me hear from all who read here. Do you think these people are
    happy?
    Answer YES or NO.

So if ignorance is bliss we have the following people who emphatically
    proclaimed their bliss.....
    David Wright
    Rich Shewmaker
    Ilsa9
    Orac

That is pretty much how I thought they would fall out. There are some others
who are ignorant also, but they are smarter than the above.

    Spammin' Dave is scum?

This person has chosen ignorance, and behaves in an ignorant manner.

It would be interesting to see you explain that, not that you can.
Referring to you as "scum" does not make me ignorant, it makes me
an accurate judge of your character.

All MLMer's are scum, so David says.

He gets his short in a bind, but like the other debunkers, he hardly mentions
    the needless death and mistakes.

Nor the piecemeal system at best, or the not learning from mistakes.

And doctors who commit fraud, tell lies, use cover-ups that kill volunteering
teenagers, and remain on staff, gets no response from David.

    Ho hum.

Some people here choose ignorance, and as a result behave in an ignorant

    behavior.

Smart? Are you claiming to be smart? I thought we had established that you
have no working knowledge of human biology (i.e.; you are ignorant), and
that's why you retreated to your "higher spiritual plane" where you don't
need to study, and reality doesn't interfere with your simplistic,
pseudoscientific beliefs. As for your "ignorance is bliss" theory, it does
not follow that "happiness is ignorance." Any one of the four people on your
list knows more about the structure of your elbow than you know about the
whole body. Your claim of some special knowledge is getting tiresome. Your
only authority for most of your silly claims is your professed
"understanding" of a "reality" that we mere mortals do not share. [censored]!
I do not accept such pontification even from people I respect and admire,
and I certainly do not have to take it from an insignificant herb pusher
    like you. Go away, spammer.

I was put on Coumadin in April of this year. I started taking ginseng with
    in late May
and went off the Coumadin in June. I haven't had any angina since.
