  1. According to an interview with Voigt just after the stage, there seems to be
some problems with competition between the riders:

    Q:"Was your attack planned?"

A:"Piil and I have this huge competition, being awarded the most aggressive
rider. He had the number yesterday, and today I won it back. Maybe he will
attack me tomorrow in the time trial"

Problems for Riis? Could this ruin Team CSCs chances of winning the TTT?

    HB

  2. Bjarne Riis's team is a disgrace to the Tour and will wind up with
nothing. What's with this 'going stage win' nonsense when you got Bobby
"Manayunk" Jullich sitting pretty on GC?

Riis is all image as a D.S., and no substance. Looks like the riders are
running the show. Riis is just a taxi driver in the caravan for the
    team wrench.

    Voigt is obviously joking. Duh.

I heard him say this while being interviewed on France 2's "Velo Club"
right after the stage. He was laughing when he said it.

  7. That's because Bjarne Riis doesn't know how to run a team.

Damn, starting a rumour like this in rbr doesn't last long...

I like Voigts sence of humour after riding 200 hard km though.

Riis wasn't too happy with Voigts attack, as he thought he gained too little
time compared to the hard work he had to put into it. But it's nice to see a
    rider attacking like that.

Since you do, why don't you go over and convince CSC that you're smarter
    than Bjarne?

Tom I've been making a big effort to tune out the noise this year, but this
pinhead is getting through, and seems to be determined to set a new record for
    idiocy, arrogance and pettiness.
When Davey and I first collided I ripped into him, but I soon found out that
he REALLY knew his [censored] and could back it up. He has become someone I have a
ton of respect for. I don't think that it's going to happen in this case.

I think the reader of the comment would have to be thick of skull and
small of brain not to have recognized that as a joke. C'mon, attack a
teammate in a TTT, think about that for a minute.

I think Voigt and de Groot gave up when they realized they weren't
going to hold onto their gap and wanted to save themselves for
Wednesday's TTT. Voigt's got to be a strong anchor for that ride, I
don't think he's fool enough to go into it wrung out.

Perhaps but in his two most successful tours he was probably the third
strongest man in the field in the third week.

  13. Ok, Tom.

  14. If Bjarne Riis REALLY wanted his team to win the Tour de France, he
wouldn't be allowing Piil and Voight to get into these garbagecan
breakways that are doing nothing but trashing them for the TTT and
    mountain stages.

You know what would happen if one of Postal's riders got in one of these
junk breakaways? Bruyneel would fire them.

If Riis were as smart as Bruyneel, he would do the same.

All you people like Riis because you think he's some kind of master
tactician. He's obviously not. Just remember one thing: his nickname in
the peloton use to be "Mr. 60%."

    Thanks,

    SYSTEM U

He is trolling. Nobody is that stupid. Look at any or all of his other

I think he's referring to the one and only Davey "Third Person" Crockett.

Riis is a realist. The only way for Bobby to be a threat is for all the
other dopers to get kicked out.

You forgot to watch Paris-Nice this year? Or Tyler last year in the tour
going solo for 150km? Or to take your meds and settle down?

And if Julich is strong enough (which, sadly, he hasn't been since he
crashed in '99) he will have his chances.
