Interesting road scenes

These one made me stop and think a lot and decided not to proceed where I'm going. Ever receive one of these???[ATTACH=full]2887[/ATTACH]

This is what usually riders do in our country, to conserve time and fuel they would cramp their whole family on a small scooter and travel around the cities main roads without thinking about safety.

Here's a good example of being frozen on your tracks while thinking what to do next. This happens VB when thousands of ducks are marching towards you.

I have seen many interesting things when I was joining road cycling informally. But I don't fully remember now because I was focused on my riding since those road cycling stints were like an acid test to my stamina and physical capability. But I remember the pit stop in a store that sells cold drinks. Their black jelly drink with crushed ice was truly refreshing especially when you were sweating heavily, that drink was divine.

Sometimes I come across some funny signs about bikes that will make you wonder if the person who made it was joking or it was a typo.

In the Philippines specially in the provinces you would see a lot of motorcycles and scooters on the road with multiple passengers, some as many as 4 or even 5. For a cyclist it is wise to keep a distance from these riders.

That's pretty dangerous, aren't there laws prohibiting these on the road? But I kind of want to see people try that on bikes though, lol.

Yep it's really dangerous and there are laws, you can't do that in the metro where it's very strict but in the provinces even though there are laws against it, there's only a few authorities around and they are usually lenient towards these kinds of offenses.

Another crazy sign is this, well up to now I really don't know what it means.🙂 Cycling Road signs are quite confusing sometimes and people who implemented and made this signs should have made them more understandable and not complicated. [ATTACH=full]2905[/ATTACH]

This one is very normal in the Philippines, specially in some provinces where a lot of corrupt public officials elected. We call it habal-habal, and it's very dangerous, but looks fun to ride.

I also had some interesting things to look at during my bike riding but never had a chance to snap a shot. I just took a break and enjoy watching it.

I always keep distance away whenever I encounter this vehicles. That's the safe thing for me to do. Motorcycles are more proned to accidents in the Philippines.

One of the things that keeps cycling interesting for me are the different stalls I see at road sides, this in particular are road side fruit stall photos in Tagaytay City one of the summer destinations here in the Philippines because of its cool climate, high altitude and it's rows of road side fruit stalls.[ATTACH=full]2909[/ATTACH] [ATTACH=full]2910[/ATTACH] [ATTACH=full]2911[/ATTACH]

Whenever I'm riding and i see some smoke and smell something good then it's probably a roadside barbeque grill that sells a variety of meats as well as pork and chicken innards that are marinated in a spicy sweet sauce and cheese then grilled into perfection. There's a lot of these and of road side stalls like this in the metro and I usually stop at one of these stalls to snack on some Pork Barbeque and pork and chicken intestines.[ATTACH=full]2912[/ATTACH] [ATTACH=full]2913[/ATTACH] [ATTACH=full]2914[/ATTACH]

There was a law in the philippines regarding about it, but it's not that strict especially on the provinces or rural part.

I also see funny signs when I'm out riding. It's hard to miss them because the mistakes are so obvious. Sometimes they make sense and sometimes they're just silly.

This is quite funny for us Filipinos because the name of the school is "Inuman" in English it means Drinking or Drinking Spree. So for Filipinos we would think that it means a school for drinking.[ATTACH=full]2941[/ATTACH]
So why was it named inuman? It's because the school is located in a Barangay or District which is named Inuman, it seems in olden times that spot was the location of a river where people went to fetch drinking water from. But it's really funny for us.
