The Health section of today's LA Times says that use of Viagra and its competitors is spreading fast to younger men - the under 45 age range tripled in insurance reimbursement requests from 1998 to 2002. Doctors are reporting requests from men as young as 16.
And, in a companion story, a study funded by the German Research Foundation and Pfizer reports Viagra is helping both men and women mountain climbers breathe more easily while climbing at extreme altitudes (such as Mt. Everest). It seems to help at sea level as well (although it wasn't tested on elite athletes, it has been tested and used on race horses), and is NOT banned by sporting organizations!
