I saw that guy hanging out at Intense. Get this 5' 6" and 360 lbs. His longest up hill ride was from the tent to the shuttle drop (his words). They had to send someone to the manitou booth for an extra heavy spring .... mounted to the smallest frame they make. Just wrong.
I tried to get out of it, but it looks like I am going.

Yah Yah ... the show has it's points, but I have been doing this since '79 and it is getting harder and harder to get up for it .... (Have at Bill). It is also time away from the family ....without any riding ..... oh the shame.

NO! Keep it in Vegas. We don't need the mass of wahoos demoing bikes all over our trails. The front range trails are wide enough as it is and Interbike would have to be held at the Denver Convention Center, which means it would be the likes of Chimney Gulch, Apex, Lookout, Falcon, White Ranch, and Golden Gate that suffer.

Never having been to one, do you know if it really generates that much trail traffic? I thought it was primarily booths in a convention center.

In talking with some bike-store folks this past weekend, there are quie a few demo bikes on the trail. You pretty much finish with the exhibit hall stuff in half a day.

The numbers for Outdoor demo are about 10th of the numbers for the actual show. Mainly because a lot of people actually come to the show to do business (oh the horror). Also, it is about a 60/40 split (dirt to road) for users ... not to mention the dirt jumpers ... BMX guys ... cross monkeys.
