This is a new Ridley crossbow Cyclocross frame. I would like to have a single chainring with double chain guard up front. Problem: Inner ring guard makes contact with chainstay. Just barely; in other words, when fairly well tightened the ring is lightly scraping the frame. Set up: - Ultegra BB 9-spd 6500 109.5 length - double chainring guard eg., http://cyclocrossworld.stores.yahoo.net/comtasinkit.html - Ultegra cranks - ordered these spacers http://www.triathlete.com/store/product.php?id=27145. I thought spacers would install under the lockring, but they are only 1 inch in diameter. Is this the right part and if so how do I install?

Thank you Peter
Take apart an old shimano cassette. remove the inside nodches from a cassettespacer with a file, tada, now it's a BB spacer.

Cut out a notch where it interferes with the chain stay.
