how far should the seatpost be inserted? im using a quax trial frame. i took that sticker off my post 🙂. i think 2 inches right?

KOXX, KH, Quax should put in all seatposts a graduation, like koxx put on the Pit Fighter... It's easier to you know "how far" you should insert your seatpost!
I have a Quax too and i think it was ingraved on the bottom of the post. I had to cut my seat post a fair bit so i cant check up on it but i'm pretty sure its 2 inches

depends how often you want your post to bend. More in the frame = more life in the post (up to a point)
Is bending seatposts really a problem? I've never seen anyone do it. And really, the amount of leverage on the seat post at the clamp is the same no matter how far you insert the post; the issue is whether you could bend your *frame* due to the leverage the seat post puts on it. (I've never seen that, either).

Did I say it can't ever happen? Any failure can happen. Your wheel could spontaneously taco due to quantum effects. The question is whether it's likely to be an issue in the real world. In all the years I've been unicycling at major, large events, and in all the years people have been posting about broken equipment on this forum, I've never seen anyone post about a seatpost that bent at the frame clamp, or a frame that bent due to insufficient seatpost insertion. I've seen dozens of other seatpost and seat clamp failures. My conclusion is you shouldn't worry about it much.
