I've injured my lower arm/wrist in some way. It was hurting only at the instant that I let go of weights, i.e. after placing them on the floor/rack then let go of my grip it would hurt for a few seconds. I rested it for a few days and thought it was ok, then when doing some dumbell flies yesterday it started to hurt continuously so I had to stop.
Last night it was quite uncomfortable, it seems a little better today.
What should I do to speed up recovery? Is it most likely due to poor form? How should I go about starting to lift again, I thought it was ok yesterday but obviously it wasn't.

Stop masturbating in front of the mirror 40x a day, and it'll heal.

This must be a very exciting time for you Bill. I understand your 12th birthday is coming up soon.

It sounds like more rest is needed. If you really want to continue lifting, I'd suggest substituting other lifts for the ones which place the strain on the injured arm. So, for example, if you have to do fly's (debatable) then do peck-deck flys and leave the forearm out of it. For sure though, you need to let it get better without continuing to aggravate the injury. FWIW, I hurt a forearm once when I did a poor job of controlling a heavy bar while re-racking. It took about 3 weeks to get comfortable again, so I let it alone and focused on other exercises: Squats but no deads, for example. It was a good time for my squat focus.

W.
Give it some time to heal and take an anti-inflammatory. In the meantime, don't do anything that increases the pain.

I not only tried the 12 step program, I *wrote* it. (unfortunately it didn't work for me)
I have a SURE CURE! Get Daffys pic of her in her underwear, blow it up to life size, and paste it on your wall. I can guarantee you'll never get it up again.

It might work, thanks. (however permanent nausea might be a side effect)
