I just burned myself a new 75 minute Iron Maiden CD.

    I'm ready for a 4 days of <25F weather.

Oh my, run to the hills!!! Sorry, just had to say it...

    Cheers,

    Scott...

  4. Back in the day, I'd do over 1,000 miles between January and March indoors ........... pretty much unridable in Maryland (at least by my standards) for weather.

I am getting back into cycling again, and so far this year I have only taken off my planned rest days. But then again, I am only doing between a half hour and an hour so far so that I can get my saddle calluses back, and get my fitness going.

I ride in the laundry room downstairs in the basement, and with the door open to the basement, I can watch the nanny's TV and check out some videos. So I've watched The Fellowship of the Ring, and Saving Private Ryan this past two weeks.

Need to get the DVD hooked up downstairs in her room so I can watch more action stuff .......... keeps you interested, fast paced, and if you are just spinning, it makes it go by easier .........

  5. thats about the only way I keep the revs up, with some good rock.... now that the tv went up stairs.

I just picture myself being passed by an 8 year old girl with the little tassels hanging from her handle grips. She rides by while flipping me off.It doesn't make it any easier but at least I spend my time in hell in the basement .
Spring is just around the corner!

I've got one from experience. My son and I were doing about a 40 mile hill training ride in
Germany. We were at about 35 and fairly cooked we had one last climb of about 8% for a mile or so
up into a village. Well here's these two guys on nice race bikes in gear, helmets, gloves, the
whole bit. Well we're struggling up the last bit when here comes this old woman (think 60-70) on
what had to be a 40lb 1950's utility bike with baskets. She nodded politely said "good Morning" and
went on past us up the hill to the village. I'd guess she has been riding that hill for 60 years
and doesn't even think about it, but you want to talk about two embarassed people.... Bill C

Are you sure this didn't happen near a little Gaulish village ?

No, I had to go dig out the local road atlas. My memeory is definitely on the way out. I want to
say it was Munchweiler sort of out a270 between Kaiserslautern and Pirmasens but it's close
enough to the border not to matter.

You are probably right, if it had been near this little Gaulish village you'd have been passed by
this big fat guy (heim.ifi.uio.noobelix.gif) riding a menhir delivery bike with a
    wild boar over his shoulder.
