Not a world record, but a world best at sea level.

Top four beat the previous best SEA LEVEL time. A very exciting event

    Fantasy Olympic Cycling Game

For each Olympic champion (male or female, team riders and individual)
that you have ridden with in a RACE:
    Score:
    5pts for Gold
    4pts for Silver
    3pts for Bronze
2pts for making the final of any event
1pt for qualifying for the Olympics

It says a lot when someone can describe a kilo competition as exciting.

Damn, I thought Peter Pieters had a bronze or silver in the points race,
but "zéro points". It was in the world champs.

I take it your going to give us Chris Hoy at Meadowbank TL, Stewart?

Musselburgh 10 mile TT, the night before Obree's first Hour attempt in
    Hamar.
(me with a 24 something, him with a 23 something, Dougie Nicholson,
Obree's mate with the funny bike with a 21)

Plus most of the NZ squad, including Sarah Ulmer.

    Medalists

McGee (several times, and his brothers)
Judith Arndt (in a handicap race)

Qualifiers thus far (just going off the rough Olympic start list)

    Graeme Brown (more than McGee)
    Matt White
    Peter Dawson
    Mark Renshaw
    Stephen Wooldridge
McEwen (beat him in a TTT)
Mick Rogers (I think, or maybe that was Deane)
    Josh Fleming
    Stuart Dangerfield (several times)
Kate Bates (in a handicap race)
    Iljo Keisse
    Anthony Langella (2 wks ago)
    Frank Perque (ditto)
    Jerome Neuville (ditto)
    Aivaras Baranauskas
    Raimondas Vilcinskas
    Jens Mouris
    JP Van Zyl
    Miguel Martinez (if he's riding)

Probably missed a few, but I'd better wait for some medals to be decided.
I'm sure there are people on RBR who've raced against more Olympians than
    these.

Incredible kilo, yes - but none approached the world best (58.875 -
    Tournant in Bolivia).

Request rules clarification... This year's Olympians, or any past Olympian?

Even knowing who won ahead of watching it was really amazing to watch

The coverage on MSNBC this morning was short but sweet.

The volume inside the stadium rose markedly every time the new #1 rank or
record setting lap split went up on the displays.
