No, they are eating the "Low Carb" [censored] like in the advertisement.

An ad for a diet product along the lines of diet trends, in a women's
magazine? I've never seen the like ... <grin>.

Better yet, take a look at this months issue of SHAPE. For months up
till and including this month they have been publishing article after
article about why not to LC diet. This month, the same articles but on
facing pages are adds for Low Carb this and that. Advertising supports
the magazine but the magazine doesn't support the adds. Funny really.

That's true -- Cosmo is all about fashions and trends (and sex and
    useless, infantile surveys).

Although I have bought Cosmo before (what male could resist such articles
as "Find your G-spot" and "The Best Sex Ever!"?), this one was purchased
by my girlfriend (who bought it for the same reason I have -- I think,
    anyway).

I've only had two rides on the new saddle..the first about 5 mile and the
second about 57 miles. It has now been reshaped to match my butt. Yet, it
wasn't exactly comfortable, but it was more comfortable than my previous
saddle. My new riding sandals just arrived and I have them on right now.
It is interesting how they are made - the cup up around your toes for
protection. If you don't have the straps on tightly enough, your (or mine)
toes slide forward to extend over the ends of the cups. Getting used to the
straps might be an issue -- sort of like trading one problem for another.
Obviously, it's too early to tell. But I've done metric century miles
before, so using them this weekend for the Tigervill Bike Trek ought not to
be a big deal (if it prove to be, then I'll just suffer).

Maybe you can take your shoes, too. My new water bag is so big that I can
carry a ton of stuff (of course, the more I carry, the more it weights
    down my back).

🙂 What kind of water bag is that? I have a hydration pack but I think I'm
going to leave it at home. they have some stores along the route as well as
rest stops. I'll just plan to stop to get drinks more often.

  16. Well, women generally love chocolate, a lot of women watch their weight,
even people who don't low carb know sugar isn't particularly good for them,
so I would think it would have a broader market than just low carbers.

  17. Here's an interesting link to a girl who has posted here in the past who
calls herself "Sugar Free Sheila". She was interviewed for a Shape magazine
article that stated she did it all by eating low fat. She explained during
the interview that she attributed her weight loss to excersize and a lo-carb
diet, but they printed whatever they wanted. Many of the people here figure
it was due to the type of food companies' advertizing dollars that twisted
her story to fit their agenda. She was quite upset because she has a fitness
    business that touts lo-carb.
