Is this forum just not very popular or do we have a serious lack of cyclists out there?
Radio controlled helicopter forum i go on has about like 1000 posts a day lol.
I come on here and its rarely a new subject is posted on here, or sometimes even a reply????
Whats going on0
It also seems like the past 3 posts were people advertising [censored]?
This place hasn't been the same since boudreaux was killed. The only gay hasn't been heard from in quite some time and the Mods have done nothing to control the spam. Hell, you can't even get a rise out of any scorpion lickin' cactus munchers.
Yes, I believe the forum is dying. Oh well, nothing lasts forever.......

'Fraid that's quite near the mark. Also FredC not been around for a while. At least we have a reincarnated Flyer to boost the daily post count.
Er... RC helicopters? Which forum is that; RCUniverse?
I hardly ever come to the Bike Cafe anymore. SPAM outnumbers the actual posts 2:1. The equipment forum and some of the racing forums are still pretty active and relatively SPAM-free. Might want to try those if you're interested. I agree that this forum hasn't been the same since boudreaux was killed.
You should learn to use the "new posts" search function. I have it set as a bookmark and can pick up all the new posts across the whole forum. It's much more interesting than to visit specific sections.
Someone with much knowledge, a wicked sense of humour and little tact. He was killed by a kid who thought that it was possible to steer a pickup truck and send a text message at the same time. Read the FAQ's to see how much his opinion was regarded on this forum. Also see these links:-
Hopefully we are all out riding and haven't got much time to sit in front of the computer. At least, over here in Australia, the weather is superb!!!!!!
And yes, Ithink the loss of Bourdeaux has changed this forum. Even though I haven't been a member all that long, I learned a lot from him.

He did a post the other day.
Guess there's only only so many bike related topics; - How can I make my mountain bike as fast as a road bike on the road and therefor make it useless for off road use. - If I spend $20,000 on component X, will the 20gms saving help me beat cat 1 riders up the hill? - Can't make my mind up which one to buy (usually started by me). - Help me loose weight. Thread becomes slamming match as everyone disagrees.
There are other cycling related forums, such as bikeforums.net which is much more active than here, even though Boudreaux (known there as Sydney) is no longer with us.
Boudreaux was Jim Price, killed while cycling last year by a young driver while the driver was texting on his cell phone.
I believe that there are still sticky threads in tribute to Sidney over at bikeforums.net in the Mechanics forum...
There should also be archived messages under his account, left by his daughter, on a few forums including this one.
He was an asset to several cycling forums (each under different names) and is missed on each of them.
