if Dancing With The Stars shows the same sex couple of two guys. Even two ladies is "off" in all honesty, IMO.

Why shoot yourself? Just don't watch the show.
-
I agree with Froze. Let your remote control do your talking for you. Programs that aren't watched get canceled soon enough; and if they aren't canceled, there are plenty of others to watch.
Or... we could be out riding!

This isn't just some show that nobody watches, it's one of the biggest shows there is and I think that they are trying to attract a wider variety of viewers. However, I think they'll lose many of those that they have with the same sex couples. It's up in the air and only a rumor for now for next season.

Grow up. It's time to get over your homophobia and just accept people for what they are.
-
The point of the thread was to pretty much just say that I hope this world hasn't come to this now. I think we all know what is meant by that.
Not a gay basher by any means, to each their own but being accepted is one thing, being understood as well as you were born homosexual and all that unholiness about you having feelings that need respected as fruit cakes and cry me a river to Roam B.C. why don't you but promoting it world wide in such a fashion? I hope not, not in my life time.
ABC : I am not ready to see gay guys dancing across my televison all ferry like or any like for that matter as long as they're coupled so don't do it or I will send you the bill from both my lawyer and my carpet cleaning!

How did those Lawyers perform in Small Claims court? Do you think they are ready to take on ABC? -
OT: Welcome back. 😎

Born homosexual? Less then 1% of all [censored]'s are born that way, the rest have had a traumatic experience in one fashion or another that screwed with their heads and they turned that way. And that number is astonishing low considering that less then 2% of the population of the USA is homosexual, thus for every 100 homosexuals only 1 could have been born that way.
The American researcher Dean Hamer published research that seemed to prove that homosexual orientation could be genetically transmitted to men on the x chromosome, which they get from their mothers. However when this study was duplicated it did not produce the same results. A follow-up study which Hamer collaborated on also failed to reinforce his earlier results. Subsequent research published by George Rice and George Ebers of the University of Western Ontario has cast doubt on Hamer's theory. Rice and Ebers' research also tested the same region of the x chromosome in a larger sample of gay men, but failed to find the same 'marker' that Hamer's research had found. Claims that the part of the brain known as the hypothalamus is influential in determining sexual orientation, have yet to be substantiated. It is generally thought that biological explanations of sexuality are insufficient to explain the diversity of human sexuality.
Psycho-social explanations offer a variety of factors that could contribute to the development of a person's homosexuality. For example, a female dominated upbringing in a gay man's past, with an absence of a male role model. Others stress adherence or deviance from conformity to gender roles, and individual psychological makeup. While none of these factors alone completely answers the question 'what causes homosexuality?', they rule out some things. For example, lesbian and gay young people are not 'failed' heterosexuals. Also, homosexual partners are generally of the same age proving wrong the assumptions that young people are 'turned gay' by older people.
What is clear is that people's behavior is influenced by their family environment, their experiences and their sense of themselves. Beliefs about sex are initially shaped by family values. Later on these beliefs may be shaped by pleasant and unpleasant experiences of sex and also shape their choice of activities and partners. Throughout their life a person's sense of who and what they are has a strong impact on their sexual development and experience.
Then there's the issue of child molestations carried out by the the population in general. DDr. Judith Reisman, in her book, Kinsey, Crimes & Consequences, describes the research done by Dr. Gene Abel. This researcher compared the molestation rates of self-confessed homosexual and heterosexual child molesters. In a sample of 153 homosexual molesters, they confessed to a total of 22,981 molestations. This is equivalent to 150 children per molester. Self-admitted heterosexual molesters admitted to 4,435 molestations. This comes to 19.8 victims per molester. Dr. Abel concluded that homosexuals “sexually molest young boys at an incidence that is occurring from five times greater than the molestation of girls.â€
This high rate of molestations by homosexuals is consistent with other studies conducted during the past several decades. Here are just a few studies that show homosexuals molesting children at epidemic rates:The Los Angeles Times conducted a survey in 1985 of 2,628 adults across the U.S.Of those, 27% of the women and 16% of the men had been sexually molested. Seven percent of the girls and 93% of the men had been molested by adults of the same sex. This means that 40% of child molestations were by homosexuals. (Los Angeles Times, August 25-6, 1985)
In 1984, a Vermontsurvey of 161 adolescents who were sex offenders found that 35 of them were homosexuals (22%). (Wasserman, J., “Adolescent Sex Offenders—Vermont, 1984†Journal American Medical Association, 1986; 255:181-2)In 1991, of the 100 child molesters at the MassachusettsTreatmentCenterfor Sexually Dangerous Persons, a third were heterosexual, a third were bisexual, and a third were homosexual. (Dr. Raymond Knight, “Differential Prevalence of Personality Disorders in Rapists and Child Molesters,†Eastern Psychological Association Conference, New York, April 12, 1991)
Drs. Freund and Heasman of the Clark Institute of Psychiatry in Torontoreviewed two studies on child molesters and calculated that 34% and 32% of the sex offenders were homosexual. In cases these doctors had handled, 36% of the molesters were homosexuals. (Freund, K. “Pedophilia and Heterosexuality vs. Homosexuality,†Journal of Sex & Marital Therapy, 1984; 10:193-200)
From these studies and many more, it is evident that homosexuals molest children at a far greater rate than do their heterosexual counterparts. While they comprise only 1-2% of the population, they are responsible for upwards of a third or more of all sexual molestations of children.

When I was up in Los Angeles some ten, twelve year ago is when I met and spoke with and hung out with gay people. They are all over the place up there and friends of mine that I knew from back here in Houston had become friends with them as they were neighbors of theirs.
We all used to hang out, not a concern about their sexuality and belive you me some of the people, born seemingly men, would be in drag up there. We'd meet up at club 360 and I'd be like, who is that and next thing you know the ole Adam's apple was talking right through that dress and that freaked me out but I eventually got used to even that apsect of gay guys.
It was and is their life and again, it's not me or mine but in Los Angeles it is pretty much one straight guy for one gay guy as far as populace is concerned and everyone seemingly knows of each other in some way or another and everyone is friends but come the dirty ugly, you stay on your side of the fence and we'll stay on ours and we don't want to talk about it either.
I have many, many friends of different backgrounds, sexualities, races, gender, whatever. That doesn't mean I want to see the US of A promote two guys boot scoot boggying from sea to shining sea on my television.

Going off of a part of Froze's post ~ Born homosexual? Less then 1% of all [censored]'s are born that way, the rest have had a traumatic experience in one fashion or another that screwed with their heads and they turned that way. And that number is astonishing low considering that less then 2% of the population of the USA is homosexual, thus for every 100 homosexuals only 1 could have been born that way. ~ it could be said that instead of dealing with traumatic experiences we are now, as a society, encouraging looking over it to literaly be gay instead and so all is well.
Dancing With Your Therapist would be the better watch.

Ok, sorry I was probably a bit harsh with my initial comment. I just don't think discrimination of any kind is acceptable, whether it be race, sexuality, gender and so on... I'm not particularly interested in knowing about same sex couples bedroom habits, but that doesn't mean they aren't allowed to be able to express their affection in public like normal heterosexual couples. Why should you be allowed to dictate who is allowed to love who? And to all that "gays are wrong in the head, and molesters" homophobic propaganda, are you really that ignorant? -

Who are you....Roadhouse's best buddy?
So you're saying it's ok to attack a marginalized section of society but it's not ok to say something equivalent to the person doing the attacking? Are you for real?
This thread is offensive and has nothing to do with cycling. Why don't you lock it?
-
Alan, I actually had a response in there but after I hit the submit button, only me quoting you showed up last night.
I'm not certain that this is an issue of homosexuals being able to publicly show affection although it could be and I wouldn't feel right about that either if showing affection were to be taken too far and knowing gays...., but rather about if the way of the world is now "Go Gay or Go Home."
When should the line be drawn? Should there be a line drawn at all? Appaently it was and has been crossed a long time ago. Has it come this far where it's easier to be gay than to face your demons? Is that the case itself or not? Is it trauma? What then led to this this explosion of homosexuality?
