hah! had a version of these all over rotterdam, but black and about 10ft long so you could lock about 6 bikes to em. In another area i saw a row of just different figures (reclining cat, duck, etc) to lock your bike to. unfortunately my digi had filled up so couldnt snap em!

Unfortunately in Australia, the arty bike shape would motivate some of the morons in our cities to rip them from their mountings and then attempt to do stupid things with them.Still, I wouldn't mind having one on the verandah at home.

So, what would you be prepared to pay for one?

I'd be guessing, but I reckon you wouldn't get much change out of $1800 to $2000 , given that it appears to be stainless steel, looks like it probably comes from a small production run and that there would be a fair amount of fabrication involved to produce the round wheels and other curved bits. If they were churned out in large numbers, the price might be better.
I think I would need to be given one for nothing by a kind benefactor if it were to appear on the verandah.😎

Apparently they were seen in the wild in germany:
Wiesbaden, Germany. The one where I'm sitting on the bike is outside of the City Hall, which has a great brewpub in the basement. The other one is outside a bank.
