Didn't that happen months ago?

Well, it seems that Performance is the Borg/Wallmart of the cycling world:
eating up and crushing/buying local bike shops. The only benefit is the 10%
of all web orders to those who stumble upon the supergo.com site, expecting
to see supergo. The deal extends to feb 6th....- DirtyRAT

Years ago, actually, October of 2002.
"We will continue to operate Supergo as it has been, under the Supergo
name," said Gary Snook, Performance's president. (October 29, 2002)Change in plans.

Nah, it's called economic realization. Same reason oldsmobile and
plymouth are no more. Same reason Filenes, Hechts, Strawbridges, etc.
are now Macy's.--

I'm just sighting the e- mail I received from
Performance. And by the way Sir Ride Alot said it all and if you don't
get it your living in a cave or you got you head in the sand. -
This sucks, now I have to pay 6% sales tax from Supergo,
Nashbar, Cambria, and Performance. How Pricepoint does
not do this.--
