I'm 53, most days I wake up aching and feeling pretty old (pain from
spinal injuries), but after a hot bath I'm feeling pretty damn fine and
ready for a bike and run session. I'm a pretty slow triathlete, but I
can outdo most of the couch potato 30-year-olds, if not in speed
definitely in endurance.
Today in the mail I received my first issue of "Geezerjock." I didn't
order it, and damn sure don't like the title, plus the rugby players on
the cover are bald (I may be gray but I got ALL my hair).
"Geezerjock?" damn sure the title ain't gonna win them too many readers
HMPHHH!!!

with the title.Maybe you ought to exercise your funny bone a little more... <g>

I WAS... guess you didn't sense that?
(but I've worked in the publishing industry, and it doesn't ring to me
like a really sell-able title?)Mike Tennent said:

Marketing products depends a lot on how it is named!
Yeah, they also have tried to sell Monkfish (flat angler fish) on restaurant menu,
but could only sell it to folks who knew how good "Poor Man's Lobster" is I am
really not a restaurant geeg, but like most triathletes, love to eat! Also grew up
in New England although I am in Northwest now.How about the Chevrolet Nova being sold in a Spanish speaking country!

(but I've worked in the publishing industry, and it doesn't ring to me

of issues have been filled with "love it/hate it" letters about the
name. Some folks take things waaay too seriously. <g>
As far as I'm concerned, the name's not the problem, it's the content.
Very weak, concentrates on covering Senior Games and such. No meat.Mike Tennent
